Man...why is every place I can find with the chickens I want located in frigging Wisco?!? I REALLY am kicking myself in the ass for not being interested in chickens when we lived up there...anyhoo...while looking for some blue wheatens I saw they also have modern game bantams & in Silver Birchen...made me think of this thread. If anyone is still looking.

I’m not looking for any right now, or for many years yet, but don’t worry, I know who I’d get them from. The Newendykes.
But yeah, we are super blessed here in WI. So many breeders and exhibitors, and so many shows!

No way!! Which part of Wisco are you in? Born & raised in Eau Claire 26 years before I ventured out. Love it dearly, but I can't do -30 to -60 anymore...

Modern game bantams are so silly looking.

Also- your chickens are stunning. Silvara is very pretty, as is the mystery sex bird. They’ve got really beautiful colorations.

I'm personally not into the game birds either. I'm not too excited our bantams are OEGBs, but there is a single hen in the flock who looks different and everyday she hops on my shoulder & chirps in my ear...so here they stay lol! Just saw mention of someone wanting modern game birds in the future (NagemTx?) & though I'd throw it out there as I had just found it when looking at Blue Wheatens. Awe, thanks so much! They were all supposed to be Ameraucanas...but they've been enjoyable to have none the less. It's been interesting for sure.

I noticed Meyer hatchery has splash bantams, so hopefully I can order some next year, probably a trio. I love the bantam Ameraucanas but they are so hard to find. I wonder if they will have other varieties in the future
