This may be a silly question-

Do Ameraucana hatch with dark legs, or do they appear pink and then darken over time?
 
Are you talking about pure Ameraucanas or hatchery stock easter eggers? My pure black Ameraucanas hatch with dark legs, but usually have pink toes that turn dark as they get older. Easter eggers could turn dark, or not ever.
 
I wasn't talking about any bird in particular..just the Ameraucana breed. Didn't know if leg color ever changed, much like the feather coloring does as a bird ages.
 
Our buff ameraucana hatch with light colored legs (pinkish white) and they turn slate after several weeks.

I've seen EEs hatch with light legs and the green or darker legs come in later as well.

Yes, leg colors can change over time, but usually occurs by 6 weeks.
