I know that given enough time, the question of gender will answer itself, but I have a new home for the one for-sure cockerel I have and really need to send this one at the same time if it is a cockerel as well. She/he is 8 weeks old. She is very feisty and the full comb came in at 5 wks old. Her saddle feathers are much rounder than the cockerel's and she shows no spur development. Her legs are finer than the cockerels and she carries herself like a pullet most of the time. I couldn't seem to get a good profile picture of her as she was feeling extra spunky and wouldn't stand still. Her feathers came in much earlier and fuller than the cockerel's and except for the large, red comb and the bossy attitude, I still think she is a pullet. Any thoughts as to gender on this one?
I would also like to know if she qualifies as an Ameraucana or is considered an EE. I have read the extensive posts on the differences and have been considering her an EE, but the breeder is reputable and calls her an Ameraucana. Thought I would ask the Ameraucana police for their opinion:confused:. If I need to see if I can get better pics, please let me know.

I go back and forth everyday on this one! The guy who wants my Silver cockerel will take this one as well (if she is a he) and will be driving in from out of town next week. Sure hope I can figure it out once and for all by then!

So just curious...I see that most of the pullets have downward sloping tails, but this Feathersite pullet sure doesn't.

I am certainly not going to argue with the idea that she is a roo, but would love to get a bit better at sexing the EEs. The cockerel I have has very pointy, shiny saddle feathers and this one has scallopped, rounded ones. Doesn't that mean that they are different genders?

Well, of course that isn't what I wanted to hear, but that's why I asked the experts! Any thoughts on EE or Ameraucana? Also, that will leave me with just two pullets out of the six chicks I started with. One BR and one BO. Do you think these two will be happy by themselves or should I bring in one or two more now before they get any older?
