The birds in these photos are gorgeous! Are these pics representative of your actual breeders (i.e. the parents of the hatching eggs)? It seems like you are as attracted to the blue/lavender color gene as I am! 🥰

I used to have a very large flock of bbs Orpington, Cochins, and Andalusians, a few Ameracaunas, and even some BLR Wyandotte’s. I’m very interested in purchasing some of your eggs, but was wondering which breed you feel exhibits the most docile or friendly nature?

As a teacher, I would like a flock that enjoys the attention of elementary and middle school children. (I had a bbs giant Cochin hen in my former flock that was exceptional in this regard.)

Thank you I’m advance for sharing your insights! 😊

They are! These are the birds currently in our pens now. Personally, I think our bbs australorps are the friendliest out of everyone but our orpingtons are extremely friendly as well. All of ours are hand-raised so they are also friendly but in my experience the australorps are even more so than the others

Okay then, I’d really like to purchase some hatching eggs from you, but I’d prefer to get them in early fall in order to include my new class if 5th graders. (I happen to be middle school science teacher, btw.)

Can we plan for a ship date of 18 or so eggs in September? My Brinsea incubator holds 20-21 large eggs max. Please send me the details to purchase from you. 😊

That works! If you can send me a message about 2-3 weeks before you'd like the eggs then we can figure out a ship date that works🙂
