quick update: one of the chicks that pipped last night hatched early this morning, still drying out. another egg has pipped. no change in the other one that pipped last night.

Wonderful!!! And I think I saw where you updated on another thread, and I'll keep track there so you don't have to post twice.

I have one Austrolorp and 11 White-crested black and/or blue Polish due to hatch on the 29th, to match the OP!

They're looking good. I'm really hopeful.

Great! I'll be watching for your updates! I love the Polish; I have two gold laced that were given to me, and they surprisingly lay quite often and even did so all winter. I was worried about them, especially when we had so many sub-zero temps, but one evening when I checked on everyone I realized my Orpingtons sit on them on frigid nights!

I'd love to see pictures of yours.

I saw one of your other posts about lock-down, which was very helpful to me as I was about to post the same question. I set my eggs at 3:30 p.m. on the 8th, so according to the answers you got it looks like late this afternoon for me. Did you do it yet?
