Been a long while since I've been online.. over a year maybe two years. I've been busy with life and kids lol... got rid of most of my birds besides a dozen or so bantams. Went ahead and incubated 24 fertile eggs got 20 healthy chick's. All bantam, most are Silver ameraucana x blue wheaten, then 4 that were from the Silver Roo crossed with a half buff half blue wheaten naked neck. Then a handful of Silver x dominique, Silver x splash ameraucana, and silver x crele oegb.

No real game plan but since I scraped my crele Easter egger large fowl line, I should have plenty of genetics to work toward a Silver crele bantam Easter egger line, regular crele Easter egger line, a barred ee line, and/or a naked neck ee line. Just gunna play around with em nothing serious these days.. Anyways here's a few snaps of the little fellers!

I got rid of most of the hatch but saved these 2 NN hens from the cross. Also save a silverish NN Roo from the cross. Gunna cross the hens with this white ameraucana bantam I have running around the property. One hen lays a nice blue egg, thr other is more on thr mint side. Hopefully crossing with this guy will give some nice blue Eggers on the next generation.

They are really pretty! How soon do you think you'll be hatching some out?
Well the White/black hen just went broody on about 8 eggs but I don't like raising chick's in the winter.

After April I will let any hen go broody on the eggs or I'll throw in a few in the incubator come May! I've stepped back from breeding much these days. Just keeping a few bantams running around the yard keeps me happy!

Found some more of the yard bantams 🤟
