Cackle Bantams at Camp Raincloud
Monday, Jun 19 - 9 days old.
Alright, I've waited as long as I could! We just received 17 assorted Bantams from Cackle Hatchery, and I'm hoping someone can help us ID these birds so we can be sure to offer them as much specific care as we can at this vulnerable stage. In my introduction thread, I've got some photos posted of our rig, including a few group photos of these birds on day 4, if you're interested in seeing how we're set up. In this thread, however, I'd like to stick to ID'ing these birds and keeping up with how they fill out. They've already grown so much!!
Cackle Breeds May Include -"Easter Egg chickens (Ameraucanas); White or Black Silkies; Gold or Silver Sebrights; White, Red, Black, Barred, Buff, Blue, Gold Laced, Birchen, Silver Penciled, Splash or Partridge Cochins; Black Tailed White, White, Gray, Mottled & Black or Black Tailed Buff Japanese; Crele, Red Pyle, Wheaten, Silver Duckwing, Golden Duckwing, Black Breasted Red, Barred, Mille Fleur, Spangled, Brown Red, Ginger Red, Self Blue, Splash, White or Wheaton Old English; Mille Fleur or Porcelain d’Uccle; Rhode Island Red; Dominique; Buff Orpington; Barred Rock; Black Breasted Red or Wheatan Cubalaya; White Faced Black Spanish; Blue; Splash or Black Rosecomb; and others as available."
-From original Product Listing on Cackle's Website
As for now, the goal is to be sure we can offer these birds any specific care someone may have tucked under their hat. I also need to move up to 10 birds this year to meet a personal winter flock goal, so it would help to be able to tell people what I think we have available!
I got photos of all the babies, so there are a LOT. Enjoy the cuteness! They are pretty chill, but I definitely hope to get some more 'technical' photos as we go. Let me know if there are any specific birds/angles you wanna see. It's gonna be a lot of fun to see them grow up!
I seem to have misplaced some photos in all the juggling, but I think i got all the varieties photographed at least once. Thanks for looking!
