It looks like a faded, dusty, sun-bleached blue to me.

This year it's at the Crossroads show in Indy.

On the topic of project colors, Black and Blue Mottled. Excuse the peepers, I'm sick of the picking. Yes, shank and eye color are an issue.

Did you get the mottling from Orloffs? They almost look Orloff-ish from the neck on up.

This is one of those shows that everyone should see if they can. You will see more AM's and everything else that you may not usually see at a show.

I'm truly looking forward to seeing some top quality birds finally - both Ameraucanas and Marans - and all in one place. Someone was telling me last night that they are expecting over 11,000 entries. That's a LOAD of birds to look at!!! Camera is going to be busy!

There are several new breed/varieties having qualifying meets there. The Wheaten Marans is one of them.
