sooo in a coule years you might get some "Extra" silky black roos....I'm going to sketch up a new coop plan for thier new home

No black skin. These are true silkied Ameraucanas... most likely a gene mutation in combo with the original roo & hen.

Can't wait till they are bred to LF blacks and then we can eventually get some B/B/S silkied Ameraucanas.
 
Hi everybody,

Well I have some of the silkie Ameracauna eggs coming this week and need advice on what humidity for incubating and lockdown works best for Ameracauna.
Of all the breeds, this one is difficult for me. Typically I dry incubate, but the last batch of 4 never hatched.

I would love to have some hatch and share with you, so please help me figure this out.

On a different batch of Ameracaunas I had the seller tell me to hatch at 69% humidity through incubation and hatch. That seems awfully high...
