Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

she wheaton hen but not shure why her beards so dark
water color is her tail
and legs

Thanks!
Legs are slate I believe, and tail like blue wheaten

The blue is definitely a hen, but the BW looks more like a cross- the color and type are both off. Is she bigger than the blue girl? ( I still think she's adoreable though! )

They grow so fast - Picture taken today, and they are now 3 months and 1 week old.

I have a lav cockerel and pullet about 31 weeks old + a black 15 week old pullet. I can't wait for them to start laying, to make a little flock like yours. They looks so sweet in a group!!

They are so much fun. And such good eaters, compared to my silkies which are very picky eaters.
I have 11 of these ameraucanas. Mostly lavenders, but the blacks are all split for lavenders as well, so next spring I'll have to build a new coop cause I'm gonna have them coming out of the wazoo lol

Wait, umm, are you aware that the photo consists of purely cockerels but one possible pullet in the back?

Beautiful birds though!!

There was 4 hens in that photo. Its hard to see them cause they was eating with heads down lol. My roosters always are the alert ones with the heads up, but they are also the most tame, so some of the hens was out of the photo. I have 3 lavender roosters and 2 black roosters with everything else out of the 11 birds, being hens.

Hmmm....Illia you have me worried now. This afternoon I will get a pic of my 15 (or so) week old pullet. If you have a chance to verify sex please, I would appreciate it.

Thank you.
