Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

Hi all,
I'm a newbie but wanted to show a picture of my new Ameraucanas pullets. I'll just post pictures of my older girl. She's a blue and about 2 weeks old. She's so curious and smart! I just LOVE her baby chubby cheeks!!

I hope you love easter eggers too! I am sure beyond a doubt that is what you have.
We got our spring chicks on Sunday.

I think this little cute one that kinda looks like an owl is an Ameraucana. We ordered 12 of them. It's a new breed for us this year!

I honestly can't think of anything else in this world that is as cute an Ameraucana chick.

I am new to the lavs, but my first lav chick (hatched grey not black) turned almost PURE WHITE. It also had lots of yellow down at hatch. Not sure what happened with her... she is in with my lav roo now and when she starts laying I can't wait to see what they throw. If they are all white, she will go to the EE pen.

I am really new to chickens, let alone Ameraucanas. These are my latest pics of Scarlett, she was supposed to be my lavender, but she is now my black ameraucana! I am perfectly ok with that, I think she is really pretty anyways. Just wanted to share some new pics. She is right around a month old now!

Donna- I have hatched a few babies form the couple hens I have left, but I let them all out together now (wheatens, marans, everything-under-the-sun) No sense in keeping them locked up in the heat for 2 eggs. I might have a few birds available later this summer, but no wheaten eggs. Hoping to swap some birds with Contrastphoto too.

Because of the missing birds and some sales, I was able to clear out one of my big coops. After our foster great dane goes to his new home, I will have a shed for all my crates and feed and bird stuff. Yes!

I'm thinking of getting ameraucanas from a breeder but don't want to end up with easter eggers... Any way to tell the difference between the two when they're chicks
