Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

I was really hoping that they were not cockerels. I bought these from a breeder, but if they turn out to be hens I would still keep them.

Thanks

Out of curiosity .. how can you tell the skin is yellow or white? I'd LOVE to get my hands on a Wheaten pullet so I've been following this thread to learn! So much knowledge here!

Oh goody!

one of the chicks is acting lethargic only a little. They get acv and vitamins. so I put some corrid in there water. Dont want to loose any of these guys. strange only like 8 days old. There water dish has been outside but I have not had anything happen to anyone else. will monitor this one.

I'm almost done hatching my Ameraucana's for the year. So far, I'm seeing some pretty good prospects so far in my juveniles I hatched earlier this year.

I love the beard on that pullet! I can't wait for mine to feather in. At only a day old I'm already sold on my AM's. They were letting me pet them while they just sat there and slept.

Look at the bottoms of their feet. If they are yellow, it's an EE. If they are white it may still be a pure Ameraucana. The shots you posted it looks like yellow rimming their toes that's why people are mentioning yellow skin. It COULD just be picture lighting but that looks pretty yellow to me.
