I have a hen that just hatched her eggs. how long will she take to come off her nest with the babies? she hasn't eaten in 3days

Get her off ASAP. She can starve to death if she truly hasn't gotten off the nest. She has to poop, too. She should have been off already.

Something didnt look right in the photo, but you could be right. Might just be my monitor or my eyesight, sorry! Was thinking she didn't have the right chest color for a Silver, though the color overall was similar.

Yup, would help to see those, too, LOL, though I have an two EEs with slate legs, so not always a perfect indicator, of course.

My Ameraucana chicks got her at 10am and all were alive. All healthy, a few are being a little sluggish (hard trip). I think they will pull through except for one. He is just having a har time thriving

She decided 19 eggs was enough to sit. Ive counted 9 chicks so far.

Hard to tell from that pic. We need body shots. It is coloring that tells gender. From what I see of the color it looks like a pullet but not firm without better pics.
