Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

How often does your Welsumer lay eggs. I read that they are kind of a seasonal layer. Is that true. I have one that is 5 months and 1 week old and she hasn't laid any yet. Can you give me any info about Welsumers?

This is the Ameraucana thread is not many of us will be able to help you with Welsumers. There should be a thread on here for them. I would post a link for you but I am on my phone

This is a picture of the little hen that I have had problems deciding if she is Splash Wheaten or Blue Wheaten. After taking these pictures I
have come to the conclusion that she is a BW.
hi

Her wings are an answer.

Her tail, and believe me it is hard to take a picture with a regular camera
when you are holding her with your dominant hand.

So,am I correct with my assumption?

By the way, her beard is missing courtesy of her fellow chicks. She tends to be the low girl in the pecking order. She may be my favorite, though.

I have a question as to the sex of this Black Ameraucana. I am hoping that I might have a cockerel to go with my other two hens. They are 18 wks old. My other cockerels are much more developed than this.

The one in question is in the back. The front one is one of the hens.

This is the best comb picture I could get after chasing it around and getting many blurred images.

Anxiously awaiting your comments. I suspect you are going to tell me that yes, in fact, I have three hens.

While not as clear, this one gives a better view of the color of its comb.
