Thank you for the correction, that is interesting! I didnt like those birds the first time I ever saw them but they have been growing on me I wish I could find a couple for my flock! I really like those dark brown eggs!

I noticed on the Ameraucana.org gallery page that some of the baby chicks pictured have orange legs. Do they change to slate colored as they get older? Or are those chicks not Ameraucanas?

I have BBS Marans.

Mine are all SQ Black Copper Marans, and at the present time, I am not mixing in any other lines or colors, to keep this line as pure as I can.

Thank you..... these are a Splash Marans pullet and cockerel. He has beautiful feathers on his legs. Posing or challenging? He is really good and never challenges me.

That roo is very beautiful. I would never mix BBS Marans with BCM.
