Woot! The first blue Ameraucana at Sand Castles Farm - hatching today. These two were the early arrivals...

Yes. Only 7 of 18 went to lockdown...dang PO! I told Sharon (Yorks) about the count..didn't really expect her to do anything. I knew the risks of shipped eggs. But she had a cancellation and asked me if I wanted the two dozen for about the cost of shipping!!

They'll be here tomorrow.

And 5/7 that made it to lockdown is good... I really think there's a point of no return when eggs are damaged in shipping, no matter what we try...

Yes, apparently. I was hoping for 50%, but I'm happy with what I got..and that I have more coming! I'll be picking those up at the PO in the morning.
