That guy is actually better than yours. See how the hackle feathers are mostly silver, and how the primary wing feathers are silver? Those are things your boy is lacking. The speckled chest isn't your boy's only coloring fault.
 
Yeah - that's what I'm seeing by looking around. Thanks. Apparently his Dad was a handsome specimen - so I'm told - but his Mother may have been black. The breeder I got them from had Black hens in with Silver hens that season. He may be the only place I have to start - so I'm going to use him and see what he throws my way - hopefully something a step in the right direction and he will go bye-bye.
