Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

Ahh I am so nervous because my pullets didn't get here today! The breeder told me they should be here by noon but they aren't. Its driving me crazy the distribution center told me they didn't have them and that they didn't have any night shipments coming. I am not to freaked out because I have heard of birds being fine after 2 or 3 days its the tracking that is really freaking me out. The last entry is 5:33pm YESTERDAY!!! In FortWorth Texas. What do you think is going on? It would be terrible if these girls are lost in the male. Oh God I am really getting a little bit upset at the USPS

I am just disapointed and very very nervouse. I guess all anyone can do is wait and pray.

They don't necessarily scan them every time they move--the next scan might not happen 'till they've arrived at the distribution center. So don't get too worried that they are lost or will be very late! They are probably just fine.

I know, not worrying is easier said than done! It stresses me out big time anytime I ship birds--but I've only ever had good experiences. They will be ok, and tomorrow when you get them you can post plenty of pics and show them off to all of us!

edited because apparently I forgot the difference between "then" and "than."

Thanks thats what most people have said and I emailed the breeder and he told me they are going to be fine he has apples in there with them. I think that they are probably at the BWI hub and maybe Forworth is where they flew out of. That is what Ewesheeps theory is. Well its to early to start worrying now I am sure they will be fine and I will get them tommorow.

My boy is here

They delivered him to the house. My husband got him all squared away in his personal coop and run. He said he has been flirting with the girls that are in the run across the barn. He is very nice looking. I will try to snap some pictures of him this weekend. It is dark and cloudy out here so the pictures won't be so great today.
