Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

He's sending me some in March. I hope they have the same wonderful disposition as Harry's; his have been great. I'm even getting eggs from three out of the four pullets which have a May hatch date so I'm pretty pleased about that.

I haven't been blessed with an egg since early summer from my lavs. They went through a hard molt and still haven't started back up. Not a big deal until I find a too for them...I sold him for some new blood.

BTW your avatar is so stinkin' cute!

Here are some pictures of my three week old Wheaton/blue wheatons. Can you tell is this is a hen or a roo? I will try to send another one.

These are from eggs I won on the auction from "Chicken Stalker". They were the test eggs. They were shipped with the best packing I have ever seen!

6 hatched. Three more hatched, but died, and two more pipped and then nothing. (I am sure something I did wrong.)

Right now they do not have any combs. I can take more pictures. Most of them are getting some darker feathers on their necks. I can not tell if they are black or just darker brown. Is there any other distinguishing marks, as they age? Or is it a waiting game?

They all had little puffy cheeks when they hatched! And they all just glowed a bright yellow!
