Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

Jes, great to see you! Been a long time. Haven't been on here or the Forum much. Seeing you reminds me that I should email Don. Hope he's doing well. I heard y'all were/are having some real weather out there.

God Bless,

Royce

I'm about 10 pages behind so I won't elaborate on the above except to say that it is simply not true to say that any "Ameraucana" that does not meet the Standard is an EE. I've written extensively on this before on here and it is sad to see this misinformation continues to be promulgated. I've said before but it bears repeating, that sort of misinformation is exactly why at least one of the "Old Timers" told me he doesn't come to BYC and to always take anything said on here with a grain of salt.

Maybe somebody has already addressed this but if not I sure hope folks will take note.

God Bless,
You would know more on this than I and I agree that technically they would be.
However there are also a lot of " NON STANDARD" Ameraucana on ebay all the time and breeder sites and hatcheries.
Most crosses I have been seen listed by breeders are listed as Easter Eggers. So you are correct and as stated know better than I but the thing I think turns people off on the breed so much is that it is so confusing what everyone is calling them even amongst breeders.

x3, I already said my peace. I might add for the billionth time. I know probably not to many people know me, and I might be newer to breeding Ameraucana, then the "old timers". I am a member of the ABC. I respect the right for everyone to have an opinion.

I am allowed to be tired of the argument, right?

Hope this is okay to post here: I am looking for a breeder from whom to purchase several Ameracauna hens or a set of eggs. Purebred and breeder only, no hatcheries. We are a family farm in WV, three kids, two parents, 15 chickens, 7 horses, 7 goats, 6 dogs, 3 house cats, 5 barn cats, 1 guinea pig, 2 turtles. We will take great care of these birds! Please help!
Hello!!! I too am from WV!!! Just outside of Masontown, WV. I sure hope you find good quality ameracaunas. I just found this thread so i have alot of catching up to do!! Glad to meet a new neighbor here on BYC!
