Oh, ok then. What are the rare colors of the Ameraucana?

Buff, brown red, and silver.would be.considered rare. But almost all the varieties are rare because you can only get them from a breeder and no hatchery sells them.

Oh, ok then. What are the rare colors of the Ameraucana?

My guess would be the brown red, then silver and buff close behind...truth is, it's not really that common to find any Ameraucana because you have to buy them from a breeder. Hatcheries and feed stores don't sell them...

I have four of these chicks that are all pretty much the same. They are supposed a mix of Ameraucana and could be 3 choices. W leghorn, Barred rock, and my main question is what sex does anyone think they might be.



I'm hoping someone can give me an idea of the sex.

I am wanting a little feedback on these Blues. The first picture is of the dominant one and I think the best conformation. His tail feathers are at a better angle.









This picture, if you look carefully, will show some gold bleeding in his hackle feathers. The tail is just a reflection of the light. It is not red or brown.



Although this is a poor picture of the second, his tail is at a higher angle than the first. He does not appear to have gold leakage. His beard is not as full, but I am not sure that it might be because Mr. Dominant picks at it. Also, the second ones' comb is not as big and the first one.



I am getting ready to move one to the breeding pen and that is the reason for my questions. I know these are not the best pictures, especially of the second one. Also, I will only have 5 hens with him. Both would be too many, right? Thoughts, please.

Where are they from?, like, what state do they come from?
