Ok, they are yellow with brown chipmunk stripes. See above.

Sorry, Privett Hatchery only sells Easter Eggers, so they are not true Ameraucanas. Hatcheries don't sell Ameraucanas. You will have to buy from a private breeder if you want true Ameraucanas. Easter Eggers are pretty birds (your likely will have the wild type partridge pattern) and good layers. You will enjoy them.

Hi! So my two Wheatens are just shy of two weeks now and I wanted to ask for opinions on their sex. Thanks for your ideas!

Chick 1

Chick 2

can't tell yet. they go through different phases, first it's the all yellow fluff, then the wings come in with a honey color. THEN when they lose the body fluff both genders turn brown, the male will be darker brown, THEN finally that falls off and the males turn black/blue grey with a brown head. They will resemble a bald eagle. the females will retain their brown color and finally turn lighter brown as they reach adult hood.

I just got 4 Ameraucana chicks from my local supply store. They got them from Privett Hatchery. Does anyone know what color they will be? They are the cutest chicks Ive ever seen with their puffy cheeks

They are easter eggers not ameraucana. They should look like these Privett girls.

Well that sucks. Isn't that false advertising? They are listed under the "rare breed" section on their list

Why wouldn't they just call them Easter Eggers?
