Just out of curiosity do you know if a split SiAm can be shown if it's the right color? So if it looks hard feathered but can make silkied babies?

Shows can only judge by phenotype, not genotype... but it must meet all qualifications...

well, I did the pen division today, and an hour later the Black's tail is already creeping up. He's taken a liking to the little splash girl, so I think he's happy to have her all to himself, along with a few blues

SC can u take a pic of your divided pens? I'd like to see how you did it since my Hubby is going to be starting mine hopefully sooner than later!

Well, by divided I mean I moved some to another pen. I do have a duplex coop with a common wall between the AMs and cuckoo marans, though. Hang on a second...

it's a slippery slope. There's never enough once you start building

Live chicks is the only way to go. No gambling with shipped eggs, and Paul's prices are very fair for such high quality.
I sold off my BCMs today, so now I have a free pen to split the boys up

Come on now! That is just a reason not to build another pen! I have crazy chicken people on this thread that I look up to! March is just around the corner and you can't let me down! You must say to yourself! I must build another pen!

Thank you, I needed ideas! I love the double house! Do you have any pictures of the inside? How big is your house and run? Have you ever had problems with predators? I am always worried and make it like fort knox! I use hardware cloth.
