Fretting happens on the ends of the feathers across the whole body... the way that looks, I would see where he is roosting at night... had someone ask about a tail once before that looked awful and come to find out he was roosting with his butt against the wall of the coop...

You shouldn't be scrubbing off the leg scales. If they are going to drop, they will do it on their own.

Same here. These were my first AMs and I got Lavs and BWs as well as the BBS so I didn't feel as though I needed any more colors. Besides, up here the white ones would just get red clay on them and that wouldn't looks so well. Then when you get them accidentally, that is just so great and you gotta have more of the same. Getting different colors of beautiful Amereraucanas works the same as just plain old chicken math.

It's funny how Paul offered me whites and I turned him down. I would need another pen! Now that I have one and she is so pretty! What do I do with the one white? I don't want to order the min. is 15 I think. He also has a long waiting list....

Once in a blue moon has them and they are gorgeous! I think the minimum is 10 and shipping is fairly cheap.

Thanks, I couldn't remember the minimum for Paul but I have 34 from Paul that are 10 weeks old. I also have 15 Marans around 3 weeks old and 12 Wheaten/Blue Wheaten that should be here next week. I think I am done for the year. lol
