teehee...

Henry, y'all actually got snow up there. Phooey. We just got nasty cold rain and sleet down here all day Saturday, then the little bit of snow that did fall just melted into a mush muddy mess within a couple of hours.

Icky. I would have rather seen a couple inches of the white stuff!

BTW, your new pullets are purty.

I agree with Mahonri, give the blue some time. In the meantime, maybe get some better pics and ask Jean for an opinion.

So here's a few pictures of my lavender & split lavenders.

Lavender hen (ignore the nosy girls on the right that are obviously not Ameraucana

I need to get some good pictures of my black split roos and post to get some opinions. I have 3: one has a lot of leaky color and I think he's the worst of the three for type, so he's leaving. Out of the other two one has good coloring (no leaking) and seems to be best in type, and the remaining one looks to be ok type but has a small amount of gold leaking in his hackles. Obviously I'll use the one with good coloring that seems to have the better type, but before I do that I'd like to have more opinions. I'm not an expert on type/conformation, so maybe the one I've picked has some fault worse than the little bit of leaky color on the other, you know?

Henry, so glad they arrived safe and sound. They pretty girls and I agree with the others, just give the blue a little time.

Katy, congrats to you on your buff! What a nice color.

Crunchie, gotta love the Lavenders! Nice split hen too. Mine are coming along nicely too, just can't find my camera battery charger to show them off.

My little man is 10 weeks old now .. *grin*

Still kinda trying to figure out what "both their combs stink" means. Can you clarify. I am not so sure about ameraucana comb standards I guess just a pea comb. Do they have to dark a comb color like gypsy faces? or are you refering to their lack of combs? They are still young so the comb shouldn't be raised up yet. Please clarify!

Thanks,
Henry
