Mine didn't turn out as good as yours did.

Eventually I want to get some Lav's maybe I can get some from my hens that I sold to FLF for her Lav project. She has some huge black hens under her Lav rooster.

Why hasn't anyone come up with a way of deciding chick gender before-hand, like crocs do. That's a lot of cockerels!

Now to get the freeloaders to quit freeloading, lol. Atleast I have 4 split chicks so far, so lets hope for a few girls! Then they should be laying by this fall, when I can take them back under thier daddy (or if I happen to come across another lav boy in my travels) and viole' Lavenders! Yay...

These are my guesses:

1. blue wheaten or splash wheaten pullet
2. blue wheaten cockerel
3. wheaten cockerel
4. wheaten cockerel
5. wheaten cockerel
6. wheaten cockerel

Uh-Oh.... should we hope for some W and BW pullets from John

I'm just so excited, I wanted to share!

I ordered Ameraucana chicks, and should get them in March!

Since I am new to the Ameraucana world ... I guess I should go to the beginning of this thread and read through it, so I can learn a thing or two!

HBueler & I are splitting a big box of chicks from Jean. Oh I hope it warms up before they ship!

I hope there are a few buffs in there so I can have at least one. I regrettably sold all of my my buff orps, and I really miss the color (and fluff!) in the flock.

Any Ameraucana Breeders Club members here? If so, is there a secret to getting onto the forum. The "register" link doesn't seem to be working and there is no contact info on the home page. I sent them a note about the problem with my member renewal, but didn't get a response. Any ideas on who/how to contact?
