The folks at ABC have always been great in my experiences. And I feel pretty confident in saying that even if a mistake is made, the folks at ABC would do what it takes to make it right if not bend over backwards to make up for it.

I agree the ABC is still a great network and resource I suggest joing if you are getting seriously into ameraucana! Its one of the most active of all the breeders clubs and I agree just a slip up maybe something personal who knows. The Ameraucana club is 10X more active then the Faverolles Fanciers. I wouldn't be discouraged at all and don't regreat joining even thouhg I don't have Ameraucana anymore.

Kathy, please don't let the little lapse dissuade you from joining! I'm positive it isn't intentional, I think they are just a club which is skyrocketing in popularity recently. Lord knows I can't keep up with my own emails for eggs, chicks, not to mention my real job and our farm. It's easy for things to slip through the cracks... Plus it seems like a club who really enjoys input from it's members. Since I couldn't post on the forum I emailed, and everyone I talked to was more then happy to answer my questions (even stupid ones).


I just figured they found out what a loser I was and didn't want to hear from me, lol.

Didn't realize other people where having the same issues.

Really the best $12 I ever spent!

Oh forgot to mention, I ordered my charts from the ABC a while ago and was starting to think I'd never get them but I just received them a few days ago. They get requests from a ton of people, including non-members like me and I think they were just waiting for cards to get back from the print shop. I bet you all will get yours any time now!

My frustration with the ABC is not necessarily that the charts haven't shown up. It is the utter lack of communication from the store contact. It is very understandable that there could be printing issues or shipping issues or whatnot. However, the store contact accepted my money (the paypal went through). The store contact should have been able to drop me a quick email outlining the issues. Two minutes tops and I would have known what was going on. Instead, I have heard nothing from the store despite repeated attempts to gather information. That is a huge problem and therein lies the frustration. I kind of feel gypped.

I too sent an email with questions about joining and never heard back - that was in November. I decided to hold off sending money until I heard from someone. I figured that I wasn't a priority since I didn't send money . . . guess that wasn't it LOL.
Three months is along time for a response, but maybe they got slammed with inquirys after their new rule that you had to pay and join to be on the forum?
