Cyn, I was amazed with how quickly their little beards grew in. My pullets got theirs before Claude! I only kept the pullets with the fullest beards. I had 2 BW boys to choose from but I kept Claude because he was a deeper blue. The other chick looked too gray, almost washed out. His Wheaten colors are starting to come in now and he's getting nice looking.

ETA: I just reread that our birds may be related, Levi came from Jean too? Awesome! Claude and Levi might be cousins.

Levi came from halo and hers came from Jean, so I do think they are cousins. Cool! I know what you mean about the color. Levi is a dark blue and I really love the shade he is.

I picked up my blue and wheaton girls from Amy this week end and I love them.

I have to say Amy you are a great person

Cynthia: I didn't realize Levi was from Halo! This is the guy I got from her. He doesn't really have a name, but he's affectionatly known as "Goober," because he's always getting himself in trouble! (Remember the picture of him with his head stuck?)
