I'm so sorry! I lost my orp roo that way- poof! How about trying AHappyChick in NY. I think she ships to neighboring states sometimes and she used to have really nice BBS. Not sure if she still does.

Which are just too rare for me to believe someone new has. No offense, they're just really rare.

Yes, one from the father, one from the mother is passed, however there are several genes involving egg color, who knows how many or how few involving in Ameraucana blues and greens.

Ahhhh, that's why Ameraucana.org is the only place where I can find info about them.

Yeah, I kinda feel guilty, like being a bad chicken mommy right now. This is the first one I've lost in a "Poof" type of way.

Thanks for the info on AHappyChick, but I was hoping to find someone local or semi local before trying to have one shipped.

yeah they said they didn't like the crowing. I told Cloverleaf they were taken by a predator but on further inspection you can see entry and exit wounds. I think a scavenger got them. Now I'm scrabbling around because I now have no chickens for 4H and no chickens for shows period and its just ugh.

jlgoinggreen,
Try Chritine Kitsch near Reading. She did have an extra black cock bird about few weeks ago. Her husband is listed on the breeders list on the Ameraucana Breeders Club and she and her husband are very nice people to deal with. They will treat you right. Harry
Oh, and I believe they may have won best black Ameraucana at the PA Farm Show.
