Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

This is a GIRL about 4 weeks old. See how she doesn't have any big black or dark blue splotches? Just a little bit blueish underneath. I didn't happen to have any boys that hatch. So no pics That I can find in my old uploads yet.

Thanks, ...so much..

That helps..but all my little ones..have dark brown light brown on all their wings..

So I was hoping that didn't indicate all boys..lol

Infact my favorelles..am I suppose to be comparing like I would with salmon favorelles..

Xxoxo

Your chicks are too young to color sex. They all look the same at that stage. It's similar to faverolles, but I have had favs with black that ended up being female/

Haven't posted on here in awhile. Lost my 4 yr old blue Ameraucana hen, Charlotte, a few days ago. Nora is the only other blue I have currently and this is her egg from today, no photoshopping other than reducing the huge size of the picture. She and her sister, Snow, are from Cree lines.

Last night was day 10 for my Meredith BW eggs, after candling I only had to remove 4. Two looked like early quitters, one blood ring and one clear egg. So...

That leaves me with 16 viable BW eggs still in the bator!

Very nice egg Cynthia. Cree is one line I keep forgetting to get- maybe because I'm afraid to have anything shipped that far

I finally got some of Smith's & Barb Campbell's lines of wheaten eggs.
