Is there a way to put some stickies at the start of this thread to refer people to regarding

1) The difference between Ameraucanas and EEs

2) Basic color genetics of B/B/S, Lav/Splits, Wheaten/BW and such.

These topics seem to dominate this thread.

I'm sure it drives you experienced breeders nuts but for me, someone trying to learn, the repeativeness actually helps. Everytime one of you explains it "yet again", I feel like I'm getting it just that much more - so, I'll say - thanks for your patience!!!

You put that very nicely BarnGoddess01
I agree there are few who don't need reminding of things. It's nice the experts share their knowlege so freely. It would be nice if those who jump on the thread actually went back at least 10 pages, if not reading the enitre thread. Perhaps we could do an index of this thread for searching?????? I know I would benefit from that as I find myself paging back for clarification of "something or the other" every once in a while.

Also, can anyone tell me how tall Ameraucanas get? We are building a ark coop and we want to know how much top space the birds will need...

That's an Easter Egger chick. She will be a wild-type partridge color.
They are comparable in size/height to Plymouth Rocks. I always build my coops tall enough that I can clean them without hurting myself.

It's not that we don't want to help...there is a thread that explains the differences of ameraucana, araucana, ee...some days we just prefer the search feature used
