Three of them are orps. The ameraucanas all still have pea combs too, no throwbacks.

AWWW!! To cute Jean!!

I hatched out over Chirstmas. I only put in 4 eggs, and only two chicks hatched. One is an Ameraucana cross, but it looks just like an Ameraucana chick.

I wish my Ameraucna pullets would start laying so I can hatch purebreds.

As cute as this half bred is, I am thinking my purebreds should be looking really good. I am so pleased it has chipmunk cheeks!

This chick's job is to be a buddy for the Cochin chick from this hatch. We had just put in the last few eggs from my daughter's pullet that a dog killed, and this egg was a spare to ensure that we wouldn't end up with a lone hatchling. This chick is from a Speckled Sussex hen and a blue Ameraucana Roo. According to the calculator it should have been blue, but it appears black.

I wonder what it will look like when it feathers out???
