Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

I see two wheaten cockerels and a splash wheaten pullet. The other pullet looks like it may be a white bird that has been popping out of the lines the last couple of years.

I would not touch that rooster with a 10 foot pole. In fact all the hens you got he is the father of, should not be used for breeding. Egg flock yes, breeding no. I know that is seems harsh. You should buy the best birds you can afford and have access to. Good Luck!!! I also want to add that it takes time to get a nice flock going. Don't be discouraged!!!
Here is a pic of the roo and some of the hens(parent stock to mine) i don't own this roo, yet but i will have the chance to buy him soon as he is replacing him with a solid blue roo, but he is father of alot of my younger ones i've hatched so far, and that is another reason i want to find other blood to breed him too, if he is quality enough??. I know he's Ameruacana and it isn't a good pic, but you can see some of the parent stock which i've gotten most my blues out of so far........what does everyone think?

Thank you as well for your feedback, luckily all the hens/roos i've gotten out of that rooster are 3 months old or less, but im glad i found out these things before i bought him or more hatching eggs out of him. And yes i'm in process of trying the best eggs i possibly can, not exactly where all i should look, but was told by my friend whom i my new blue pullet from(she's not from that roo) to get on byc some of you which she knows and talk, look, and find me some good eggs. I've also looked up the breeders listed in my state listed on the ABC and working on contacting a few of them.

And no i'm nowhere near discouraged, more like encouraged more to find what im looking for and build my flock

A Splash Wheaten Pullet ?? Really .... How do you know?? And 2 Wheaten cockerels .... so they are neither are blue wheaten??? A white huh?? Well she is MUCH lighter then the other hen so that would explain that!!! Sorry for so many questions.... I am such a newbie!! Trying to learn as much as I can but every time I search Wheaten Ameraucana on BYC I get the same 4 threads!!!

Thanks for the input!!!

Any ideas on the sex of this little blue one? I think this one has the clown face y'all were mentioning...where can I read more about that? Here I thought s/he was cuter than the "plain old" blue ones

That is awesome, try Huckleberry Farms, very nice people.

So I hatched 4 Wheaten/ Blue Wheatens from Peachick about 3 months ago ... I guess I got 2 Boys & 2 Girls? These are my first Wheatens ever ... I love my 1 Black Ameraucana hen Mole Negro so I know I can't go wrong adding the Wheatens!
I just have to say "Hi!" I was on the hatching thread with you when you hatched those! At the time I didn't have a purebred anything (just production reds and mixed bantams)... now we have a bunch of month old Ameraucanas. I've been learning tons on this thread! Anyways... its great ot see you here!
