Hi there,

My friend and I got our ameraucana chicks from the same feed store at the same time and hers is starting to grow feathers on her legs, my girl does not have this. Is there anybody that has seen this before with this breed? We are both new to chickens so we aren't sure if this is normal for the breed or not. Thank you in advance, Pictures attached below

Interesting, we got them at the same time. Here is a pic of my girl, Hazel. Do you think she is an ameraucana or Easter egger? Thank you!

Welcome!
Ameraucanas are a specific breed, and don't have feathered legs. You can see lots of good pictures on feathersite, of so many breeds!
Your chick is something else, or a crossbred.

The thing is we were shown the parents of all the chicks and they were pure bred and most of the others don’t have the feathered legs
