Sooooooooooooooo cute!!

I am getting Wheaten/Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas from Pips&Peeps next week, and I'm getting so excited I can't hardly stand myself! Thanks for the pic to tide me over! (I KNOW you did it just for me!

Cute pictures! what are you using for them to roost on? I'm a first timer and have 6 new babies that I got on Friday all are doing very good.

I'm getting Wheaten X Blue Wheaten hatching eggs from Pips&Peeps (they'll be in the incubator the same time your Dell eggs are) and I am so excited! They're gorgeous birds. The blues are my favorite, I'm hoping for a Blue Wheaten roo to start a flock with.

This has gotta be my favorite chick stage, when they're beginning to develop and their little personalities are starting to shine through. Adorable babies Cyn.

They are a rowdy bunch for less than two weeks old! I'm going to have to either split them up or get a larger brooder or there's no way they'll be able to stay in the house for about two more weeks! Crazy chicks, this bunch. And I thought Delawares were nutty! Sheesh.

But isn't this exactly why we do it Cyn? To indulge ourselves in those crazy antics of the youn'un's?? It just proves what I've been saying all along....Chickens are so much more fun to watch than TV!!

I can so hardly wait for mine to hatch! Just a little over two weeks now!!!

Gorgeous, and another reason not to sell the incubator!

I keep saying I'm going to sell it, and then I see the pics.............................

And I want to hatch more!

I really like the coloring of the chick in the first picture. Is this a pure bread Ameraucana? I am hoping to get one or two white EE's (with just a little coloring) in early April. I am willing to drive around to the many feed stores in our area to search their bins for just the "right" ones. I realize it is going to be difficult to guess what their adult coloring will be.

I had that idea in mind too last year. I only wanted Easter Eggers that were going to be buff or white colored.

Instead I decided to go with Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas. The end result of knowing that it's exactly the bird you want is so much more reassuring.
