Ameraucanas? Is the 2nd bird, Red a hen or roo?

They all look a bit roosterish to me. It is hard to tell for sure without their tails tho. I hope their tails were not conveniently cut off or torn off, so you would think you were buying hens. They are definitely not rumpless and had a tail there once.

The red one will probably not lay colored eggs if its a Red Sexlink or New Hampshire - most likely brown.

The ones with "muffs" (not tufts) could lay any colored egg if they turn out to be girls.

Just wanted to update this. All 3 are hens, all 3 are laying. The first Buff hen lays a green egg, the RIR looking hen lays a brown egg and the black hen lays a blue egg. They're all getting in nice tails too. Thanks!
