I have such a hard time with these guys.
I’m confident my two splash are pullets (I only took pics of one but they are identical).

The blue and the black have me on the fence. At first I thought pullets.. they had a rooster sibling who was very clearly a roo, that I rehomed last week. Big, long tail, crowing.. lol.
But these two make me wonder, hen or roo?

Blue and black birds are definitely cockerels. Very pretty too!!!

You can tell immediately due to their saddle feathers. Males have tapered, pointy saddle feathers.

Blue and black are both males. See the darker color patches on the blue and the sickle and saddle feathers on both?

Thanks guys, that’s what I thought too, but I was just confused since their other brother was so much more rooster-y looking than them and they are from the same hatch. Of course I don’t have a picture of the other guy..

But many thanks! I was so sure I saw pointy saddle feathers and was going a bit crazy lol.

I agree, I believe the black one and blue one are cockerels.

Totally agree... blue and black are both cockerels. Pointy saddle feathers say it all.
