I have two AB goslings that are about a month old. It is still really cold here so they can't be outside too much. It seems like they are super bored in their brooder. I wanted to put in some toys or something other than their greens and feed. Any suggestions?

Take them out put them in the bath run or something let them have fun in the bathroom after makeing everything clean

Look it's best to put them in the water that's not to hot or too cold and also not too warm but temperate .
Good suggestions.

What is not too hot ,too cold or too warm hahaha XD
Luke warm.

Try putting a treat ball full of chopped grass, or other greenery for them to nibble on in their brooder. You could also put some chopped greens in their water for them to dabble through. A piece of wood or some baby toys for them to chew on, a mirror for them to admire themselves in....

I have two American Buffs! I hadn't planned on getting them this year but a lady posted on Craig's List that she would like to trade them for a ram lamb. I had a ram yearling who I hadn't wanted to sell for meat since he has the best fleece I have bred in 15 years. But I am breeding for brown and he is white and I have his brown half brother.

So they are last years goslings grown. She doesn't know the sexes but hasn't seen any eggs yet. How old are they when they first start laying. They are both about the same height though one is a little more refined than the other but so far their behavior is fairly close. Doesn't matter to me if they are both boys just would make it easier to name them.

I had to laugh today. I emptied the kiddie pool last night, and before I got outside, the wind had blown it across the yard, and my pair of geese were standing where the pool is supposed to be, and could not understand that it wasn't there!

How hard is it to hatch out goose eggs? I had a couple of Am buffs on order but it fell through. now trying to figure out what my options are...

I haven't found goose eggs incredibly hard to hatch, but that's just me. If you are interested in some American Buff eggs, let me know. I have several that I could ship to you.

I hatched one of two Am Buff eggs on my very first try, and am very pleased with that. Have 5 more due Monday, so I hope that goes as well. Here is the new baby....I'm a proud Mama! I LOVE baby geese!!!
