I have a pair of 3/4 month old American Buff Geese. My hen is limping. She was mildly limping last week, but in the past couple of days, the limp is worse. She will apply pressure and stand on both feet. There is no signs of swelling, infection or even a cut. I gave her a dose of Poly Sol Vi yesterday and a Penicillin shot, just incase there is an infection I could not find. I don't think anything is broken, and I called a Vet, but they can't see her until Monday. Is there an OTC anti-inflammatory I can give her or soak or in something that might help like Espom Salt. She is eatting and drinking fine. Today her voids are runny but I think that is from the Penicillin so I am going to give her some yogurt plus its a pretty hot day. This goose is very special to our family and her mate too, so I really don't want this to turn into something. There is a little purple spot on the top of her foot in the web that looks like it may could be a bruise??? not sure, but I would not think that would cause her to limp. The top and bottom or her foot otherwise look clean of anything else. Could someone give me some direction or advice?

I'll give you a bump and see if some of the Geese folks are around. It is hard to tell from what you have stated and it could be nothing. Bears watching and closely. Is the goose irritable more than normal? Is the fecal matter normal looking?

I just had to laugh at the "more irritable than normal" comment!

Unless there's a reason geese can't soak in epsom salt, I think a good 10 minute warm water soak would help. Just don't let her try the water like my chicken did! Blah!
