American Gamefowl

I prefer cooking over actual wood though. Then again I’m usually only fixin wieners so it’s kind of a production for 2 hot dogs. That’s where my little camp stove comes in. ;)

Same but besides the usual stuff I've done deer and lamb in tinfoil over a wood fire quite a bit.

Also on sticks well I use 3/8s brake line lol but it works.

When I was a kid we had lots of kilns still...

when they were cooking thaw air smelled like a fireplace for weeks...

Probably not the healthiest thing...

The old ones got shut down in the late 90s...

I always wanted to make my own charcoal... maybe I’ll try it some day

The two best smells in the world are pine and wood smoke. Followed closely by brownies baking.

I get looked at awfully strange sometimes when I buy the big bag or royal oak charcoal and damn near melt my grill to fix 1 or 2 duck breasts wrapped in bacon.

Lol, can’t have too much, it’ll keep

Royal oak is made just south of us about 8 miles... they probably have them in other places too though...you’ll have to check your bag and see if it says where it comes from

There’s a Kingsford plant to the north of us about 20 miles
