American Gamefowl

And wet freaking grass on top of it. Might as well drag a cedar tree in the house.
Smoke is blowing right over where my Cayuga pen is too. :barniePoor birds!
If I was your neighbor and caught you spying on me I’d install a wood boiler out of spite. You’d wish it was just a pile of leaves burning once a year. Lol

I always wonder about the people even just raking leaves. They look outside and think “ya know what I gotta get out there and get them leaves up”
Why not just mow over them if there is a lot? I don't get it either. It's good for the ground to mulch them up.

I am not spying. I am in MY car in MY driveway.
Currently watching THEIR cat try to climb MY fence. They can bite me.

This is the extent of our leaf raking, that's the kids raking them to play maybe a week ago now

If they’re maples or some other softwoods then they might be good for the ground... if they’re oaks, etc the tannins in the leaves will lower the PH too low, making the soil bitter

That concludes this episode of ‘the internet science lesson I didn’t ask for” :p

I mow most of them, but sometimes burn some piles here and there, but I don’t have any neighbors to complain... or to spy on ;)

Just be glad they don’t have a burn barrel that they burn plastic in... my MIL lives in a tiny little town where it’s legal to burn and someone burns plastic and stinks up the entire town
