I think the midsize Tacoma sized trucks are more useful. Not to mention the amount of markup in the full size trucks is crazy.
Unless your actually using it for work like towing, ranch or true farm use I don’t even see a need for a full size truck. Most are minivans with a tiny bed anyway.
And herein lies the argument.
His opinion is, if we're going to buy one we should get one that will do everything we (he) might need or want it to do. Like pull a trailer or camper. Since I don't drive a whole lot he thinks we should just have the one nicer multi functional vehicle and he can keep driving the old Chevy to work.
I do get his point..
A little bit.
But I'm stubborn. And I want something that makes my life easier. I don't need a full size truck to have to gas up just to run back and forth to work and the feed store occasionally.

We do actually have a little ford explorer already. Cheap 500 dollar rig we bought for a back up vehicle.
It needs a lot of work but it runs. I keep telling him I'm gonna sell the car and have that junker worked on and just drive it. :lau

Problem solved I say.
Then he can buy whatever ridiculous truck he wants to.

Pulling a camper?! Omg! That’s not camping! You can fit a tent in any truck bed. :lau

:gigright?
Idk It was nice having a camper. . we had one before. An old s**** one. It was nice being able to leave stuff in there to go and not have to pack as much.

It don't matter most your older stuff like mine if your gonna pull often you need to upgraded the trans cooler and brakes. This newer stuff even the half size is capable most have great brakes as is and more power than the older stuff that suffered more from smog and emissions. Nowadays they have power while still maintaining emission pretty much handled for normal folks.

I like bringing very little stuff camping so packing is never a big issue. The whole idea to me is to get away not bring it with you. :p

I like the newer Colorados not the newest but newer, Toyota would be a option in a v6 but I'd probably want a straight, frontier is a decent truck as well. Who am I kidding though if I can't fix it myself I ain't buying it lol maybe in 10-15 years I'll get one that was new today then.

I was looking at the Frontier Pro 4x when I got the Tacoma. I was able to get the Tacoma cheaper because of where my wife works.
I also don’t want no 4 full seats. I ain’t running a taxi. A kid and a dog or two is enough. I don’t need a damn crowd.
