I have family members that can't even remember how to open that gate

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I’d think that dog will easily be able to scale that fence as he gets older.

I had a hound mix that was much smaller full grown then your pup will be. She scaled a 5 ft fence a few times no problem.

Oh ya. I know he will be capable of it. He can probably climb it right now if he decided to.
I am just praying I can learn him some impulse control.

My red dog could easily be over it too if she wanted. I've seen her launch over the side of the truck bed before straight up and over without even a running start! And she's big and fat.
