That was a cock bird he was 8 or 9years old and obviously very healthy, but he had run his course though. I have two great blood lines not just hear say and direct. The others are for crossing only to play with really.

That being said they aren't meat birds but I try not to waste em either.

I hear you about not wanting to waste.

And I did give away an awesome bird to an old timer free zip zero not a dime, but out of 7 or 8 I kept two brothers they were clearly all around better than their siblings. I gave him 4 hens as well also not a dime in my pocket not one flipping cent. Here he is incase you missed him....

He had a 1/4 of SDMs blue in him. Had havoc offered me blues and I paid for them like I did the rest (minus two females, but I did pay shipping) I would have culled them plan and simple That doesn't mean they aren't decent birds I just have my opinion on how things went down. I have these blacks which are perfect no issues and have mugs that have been game for over 50years both of which will throw culls period not every bird is equal.

And if you think me an havoc haven't cussed each other out plenty of times your nuts. Had we been within reach one or both of us would have left hurt but we'd likely pick the other one back up eventually hahaha.
