Not at all. I dont have the yard size, or interest in the sport to do that. Its my hobby. I just like breeding and raising animals.

Not a whole lot most my birds range from high 4s to mid/high5s. The hens max is barely in the 4s this is all alive weights by the way.

I processed a Leghorn cockerel a few weeks ago. He may have been 5 pounds live weight, but probably less. Had a good amount of meat on him.

That was a cock bird he was 8 or 9years old and obviously very healthy, but he had run his course though. I have two great blood lines not just hear say and direct. The others are for crossing only to play with really.

That being said they aren't meat birds but I try not to waste em either.
