American Gamefowl

Ugh I got an owl nailing birds now. He hasn’t killed any but he’s wounded two. Wrong yard.

They will wreck some birds only one I had survive was that black now she's the biggest baddest black I've got.

I will add that when I had owl issues they were really young so it was easier pickings.

I’m not sure if it’s a GHO or a smaller one. He hasn’t killed any but ripped this last one wide open. I’m not sure if I can save her or not. That was like 15 min ago.

Yeah mine were big ones lol mothman size, but that black she got it pretty bad could see her insides on her outsides but she made it she's always been my pick even before that.

I’ll get it stopped tomorrow. I wasn’t sure if the other hen was a hawk but after tonight I know it’s an owl. Hitting black birds in the dark.

Hawks I've seen older pullets fight em off no problem but owls do some serious damage and they hunt at dark an we know chickens can't see to well at dark. I watch one take a stag early season then another the next night.

They are kinda freaky to watch I've scoped out 3 and they are odd to watch.

Oh I’ve seen plenty. When calling foxes they’ll come in to a moving decoy and a predator call. I’ve never had a real issue with them here though. Sooner or later you’ll have to deal with all of it.
