Didn’t get skunked but theirs like 8miles of that stream and we had done fished a lake spill way for a few hours. Then drove another hour to that place so we ran out of time really I didn’t get home until 12:30. My buddy did hook into a nice one 18-22 trout but lost it at the bank. Never in my life have I seen a trout hit power bait as soon as it hit.

Nice stream. Wrong tool for the job though.

Well in my defense we were hybrid bass fishing with a few trout at that spill way so that was the lightest setup I brought which is super light less than 2oz for the rod itself. I just used spinners I wished I’d brought the fly rod cause plans changed. I will be going back it’s amazing like I wished I’d took more pictures to show but was kinda caught up in it all.

Power bait!! fishing for pellet pigs?

Doesn’t matter one bit to me what someone uses to catch a fish. I myself like a lure of some sort regardless over bait.

Just about all the freestone rivers and streams look real similar throughout the country. Generally fly rods work better because of the insects along those streams. Weighted lures aren’t very natural and get hung up on rocks constantly.
