I fished but it’s quite difficult with a clumsy brother (disabled) dog and 8 yr old. It was mainly a camping and looking around trip. I may go back this year just to fish and camp by myself.

I understand it’s nice to get out with the family but it’s also nice to be out doing it yourself and just relaxing.

Sounds like it!

I’m sure you can imagine the 4 of us sounded like a herd of elephants getting down to the stream so most of the fish that were feeding in the pool went under the blow down.
There were about a dozen 10-15 inch wild brookies under this blowdown. I hooked one and he ran me around some branches under water and the fly came loose.
I donated about 6 expertly tied flies to the underwater branches before I gave up and realized I had been beaten.

Sure is some nice water makes me wanna go wet a line and forget about this moving crap.

It’s common when creek fishing to donate lol heck took my wife a little while back and her first cast she was hunting for squirrels!

There were 3 separate sections of the river. 2 above a reservoir and the trophy tail water section below. Just mainly exploring since I’ve never been there before.

I really haven’t been fly fishing for trout in awhile. I’ve really only half *ssed it the last 8 yrs or so but now my son is old enough to keep from falling in so I plan on doing a lot more again. I’ve mainly been taking him to lakes and ponds.

James has literally jumped in the water twice now luckily it was shallow ponds. I haven’t really fished fished since me and the women got together. Before her it was constant even after work but this year I figured I’d get out there more. I’ve caught some nice ones this year, but mainly I just go because it’s something I’ve always enjoyed good or bad it’s been a good year fishing I still plan to do a little more once things settle down.
