Here's a head scratcher. .I am incubating turkey eggs for My brother and sister in law. They just adopted a baby Coon and are keeping it as a pet.

I just read the damnest thing... a chicken keeper was gonna stick a rotting coon carcass up high so the wind could spread the stink and draw 10 fold the chicken eaters already present, In order to convert it into maggots for the biddies to eat
I’m sure they make wonderful pets as long as they’ve been kept since a baby. In the wild they like to eat off chickens heads. I'd even go with a skunk over a racoon. I've heard they are pretty good pets. . .if de- scented.
Do you know why they want a raccoon as a pet? Just to be different? It’s actually kinda common as far as non standard pets.
Well. . . to be fair. . someone dumped it in a trash dumpster alive and they saved it. So. . I can understand having compassion.
