Oh come on. Jersey isn’t that bad. I mean the winters suck, we have 3 weeks of spring temperature if we’re lucky, and then it’s summer until late September.
How much land do you have havoc?

NJ is ridiculous expensive to live in when compared to most states. What you actually get for your money is subpar as well. Extreme southern and extreme north western NJ isn’t bad. Anywhere in the middle and north eastern NJ is a nightmare. Hunterdon, Salem, Cumberland, Cape May, Warren and Sussex counties are ok. The rest sucks bad.
I only have 2.5 acres but I’m surrounded by farmland and woods. My nearest neighbor is a little over 1/4 mile away and over a 1/2 mile in the other direction. If I move it’s out of the state guaranteed.

Come on down to MO, I know a spot in the central part of the state where there’s a fella with similar interests as you... you could move in next door and be neighbors... trade eggs, swap beetle juice recipes, enter the tater sack race together at the county fair...just be BFFs in general....

Well I had been teasing these for hours the fly it finally hit was on surface while I was striping. I'm no expert to say the least but it is fun and the fight is much better fly fishing but also a larger area to mess up too.

You’re also using a 6wt rod. Most trout fishermen use a 5wt. Nothing wrong with the 6wt but it’s easier with a smaller more delicate rod with tiny flies. I use a 4wt for most trout fishing. I’m usually fishing wild trout streams in the mountains though. Bigger streams I use a 5wt. I don’t even own a 6 or 7wt but I have two 8wts. The 6wt is perfect for smallmouth though. That’s what most use.

I was in the tree once it was a big sob definitely the largest catch of the day. Got my fly back though!
